Joining them will be two DJ’s JUMPS and myself, CHRIS GILL. We will be playing all local goodness and keeping the vibe alive. If you are in TOKYO – come and see what we got. japanese gigThere will be other events around this as well, with THURSDAY night there being an internet show. Scatter Scatter – June 1

scatter-scatter-6Scatter Scatter #6 is going to explode at the Grace Darling on June 1. Featuring special guest: Ray Lugo (Koloko, Jazz & Milk Recordings, Record Kicks…) alongside Melbourne’s most-studied afro selectahs, DJ Manchild and DJ Jumps, plus the dynamic Public Opinion Sound System, Scatter Scatter #6 is set to be MASSIVE!

If you’re tuning into the Northside website you probably already know Ray Lugo’s credentials…. Direct from NYC, singer, songwriter, Koloko frontman, LES Express leader and more…  a true heavyweight of the underground world music scene. If you wanna check ‘what time it is’, don’t miss this very special show, and remember it’s a 150 dancer capacity at the Grace Darling…. so get your (expensive) shit together and get down to the Grace Darling early. If you’re not a dancer…  stay at home and listen to Ray’s latest offerings on Soundcloud or check his expansive discography at raylugo.org

We can probably also expect to hear from Ray on Manchild’s radio show,  The Breakdown on Friday June 1, 3pm-5pm on PBS106.7FM.
