SASKWATCH "I Get Lonely / Your Love (Brain Children remix)"Saskwatch are taking giant steps now. Forging ahead into a brave new world, their new single has been recorded by Mikey Young (from Eddy Current Supression Ring) and he gives it a tougher sound yet on the vinyl recording (as opposed to the what you'll hear through computers) it is still swimming in big fat bass. The track I Get Lonely is a rolling funk anthem which results in Nkechi dancing and making you get down as well. Hand claps can sound all the way through. All the band get to star in this, with the horns out front and guitar driving it, but yet again its Nkechi who you have to hear. She is getting better with each release. Penned by Liam McGorry he is now known as Melbourne's Quincy Jones. The flip has Saskwatch walking in new territory with an electronic remix by Mikey Young (and Max Crumbs) who form Brain Children. It sounds haunting and spooky yet retains the soul of the song, as they flip octaves on Nkechi's voice. SOUL OF MELBOURNE: OUT NOW!
